On 26 and 27 September, we took part in the September All Hands event, an internal event where our colleagues from WATA Factory shared knowledge and experiences about organisation, internal management and technical aspects of various technologies <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The first day started at 9.00 a.m. with a delicious Moroccan breakfast that put us in the atmosphere of a real souk with typical bread, pancakes, honey, butter and delicious orange and quince jam. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Germ\u00e1n T. -CEO of WATA Factory- opened the event with his usual welcome speech. He took the opportunity to thank several teams for their great achievements in recent months, highlighting some key projects and recognising the collective efforts. He then handed over to Eliezer L. who gave an overview of the day’s programme and a preview of what was to come over the next two days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first presentation was given by Carmelo B. with the topic \u2018How do we look after our customers at KAUFFELD&LORENZO and WATA Factory? Current status\u2019. Carmelo gave concrete examples of how we respond to our customers’ needs and emphasised the importance of always listening to their expectations and working in partnership with them. He also highlighted how the feedback we receive helps us to continuously optimise our processes and provide a service that meets the high quality standards of KAUFFELD&LORENZO<\/a> and WATA Factory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carmelo then introduced us to his second presentation: \u2018Our companies\u2019 network infrastructure’. In this session, he gave us a detailed overview of how our network infrastructure is organised and the challenges we face to keep it up to date, secure and operational. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He talked about the security measures we implement to protect our network. Carmelo emphasised the importance of data security, especially in the face of cyber threats, and explained how we are working to make our infrastructure not only robust and efficient, but also secure and reliable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a lunch break in a nearby restaurant, we started the department meetings. These meetings are essential for prioritising, discussing ongoing projects and defining concrete action plans. They are the key moments to ensure that all departments are moving in the same direction and that communication runs smoothly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day ended with snacks in the office, a relaxed moment in which we not only exchanged ideas and recalled anecdotes from previous All Hands, but also took the opportunity to have fun, laugh together and strengthen the bonds between colleagues in a relaxed atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second day started with an Andalusian breakfast, where toast with Serrano ham, olive oil and fresh tomato, coffee and fresh orange juice took centre stage. As always, this simple but delicious breakfast was the best way to start the day with plenty of energy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eliezer L., Head of Operations and Strategy and author of the book \u2018Curso de programaci\u00f3n con Rust\u2019,<\/a> gave a presentation entitled \u2018Rust for everyone\u2019. In his talk, Eliezer explained the advantages of Rust, a programming language designed to avoid memory management errors and to impress with its reliability and performance. His enthusiasm for Rust made us realise the importance of this language in projects where efficiency and security are crucial, and sparked our interest to further explore its applications and deepen its potential. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a short break, Juan Miguel G. took the floor and presented \u2018Angular vs Vue\u2019, a comparison between two of the most popular frameworks in web development. He explained that the decision between Angular and Vue depends on the type of project: Angular <\/a>is great for large and scalable applications, while Vue excels at more agile and simpler projects. This strategic perspective emphasises the importance of choosing the right technology according to the needs of each client and project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event culminated with a German-style lunch that included a succulent variety of typical German dishes. We enjoyed Pizzafleischk\u00e4se<\/em>, a pizza-flavoured meat pie; Hawaiian toast,<\/em> toasts with ham, pineapple and grilled cheese; Eierbr\u00f6tchen<\/em>, a boiled egg-sandwich; Schichtsalat<\/em>, a layered salad with vegetables and sausages; and Kartoffelsalat<\/em>, typical German potato salad. This meal was the icing on the cake to round off two days of learning and spending time together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the end, we left with the satisfaction of having experienced two extremely productive days and with renewed motivation to continue improving and learning together.
